From June 9-20, the Summer Special will give the general public the opportunity to see the majority of the 2021 film selection at numerous cinema screenings. An industry accreditation for the Summer Special is not planned.
Unlike in the years before the next edition of the german documentaries catalogue will be not available here at our booth at the GROPIUS BAU as a printed matter. But nevertheless the 25th edition of our catalogue is available  as PDF to download here.

CPH:DOX, Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival, is one of the biggest documentary film festivals in the world. The next edition of the festival will be from March 17 — 28, 2021. The festival is postponed to April 21 — Mai 2, 2021, industry activities April 26—30, 2021,  and will take place as a hybridversion. More information available March 2021. ACCREDITATION here.

Visions du Réel is one of the only Swiss film festivals to present a majority of its films as world or international premieres. The Festival also has a film market with Industry activities, one of the most important in Europe and it may invite films that have not been selected for the official programme to be entered in the Visions du Réel Media Library to be viewed by buyers and professionals.

CoPro 23 | Israeli Documentary Screen Market May 31 — June 06, 2021 in Tel Aviv _
INSIDE OUT— Spotlight on Germany:   In a collaboration with German Films and AG DOK, CoPro offers in 2021 a framework for German filmmakers to present their “homegrown” initiatives for consideration. Through the Inside Out track, we offer German projects with an Israeli or Jewish thematic connection a chance to access the Israeli film documentary network through on-one-one meetings with Israeli producers and distributors, whom enable the co-productions between Israel and Germany.
The track will be accompanied by the mutual German-Israeli masterclass about the budgeting for co-producers. The selected projects will participate in the CoPro Market in Israel, which will take place online between May 31st - June 4th 2021 and will get an access to all different CoPro pitching forums and industry events.

4rd IDF West Lake Int. Documentary Festival, Hanzhou - China, October 17—19, 2020
IDF is an International Doc Festival organized by the China Academey of Arts. It takes place in Hanzhou, one of the allegedly most beautiful cities in China, about 1.5 hours by express train from Shanghai. It has a competition program (D20), a forum, a pitching event and a training program (IDF Academy). Strong focus on films with Chinese reference. Asian Side of the Doc, autum 2020. The Asian branch of the Sunny Side of the Doc Events. The Sunny Side Events belong to the most effective markets for international projects in the financing phase. With intensive networking opportunities, a pitching forum and sales booths for finished films. German Documentaries will be represented there with its own booth, where participating companies can hold meetings and display press material. We also organize a networking event. Asian Side of the Doc was planned for March 2020 in China. The organizers informed us, that the event unfortunately has to be postponed to autumn 2020 and the location in China has not been decided yet.

International Documentary Film Festival for documentaries in China with lots of workshops, a pitching forum and one-to-one meetings. The film projects in the pitches, as well as the panels and workshops, are mainly related to China nowadays. We organize a networking event.
