Submissions for the 22nd edition CPH:DOX start May 15, 2024. The deadlines for submitting a film to CPH:DOX 2025 are September 1 for films finished by that date, and November 25, 2024 for films finished after the first deadline. Rules and regulation.

The two largest and most important markets for the distribution of films take place in Cannes every year in spring. Visions du Réel, International Film Festival Nyon, April 4–13, 2025

Visions du Réel is one of the only Swiss film festivals to present a majority of its films as world or international premieres. The Festival also has a film market with Industry activities, one of the most important in Europe and it may invite films that have not been selected for the official programme to be entered in the Visions du Réel Media Library to be viewed by buyers and professionals. 
VdR–Industry dedicated to cinema professionals, VdR–Industry and its activities represent a springboard for future films to find support in every stage of their production. VdR–Industry is an opportunity for participants to expand their network and develop awareness for new production companies thanks to our special program.

CoPro 27 | Israeli Documentary Screen Market May 26–29, 2025
CoPro – The Israeli Coproduction Market is entirely dedicated to exposing Israeli documentary projects to executives in the international documentary film industry around the world, with the aim of raising resources from international sources. During the market days, CoPro also holds industry events such as lectures and professional panels which are open to all industry professionals and the creative community. The CoPro market attracts executives from the documentary film industry from around the world. More than fifty international industry figures are attending the event, including representatives from the BBC, arte, Netflix, NY Times, Showtime and many public broadcasting networks in Europe.

11 VISIONI DAL MONDO, September 11–14, 2025 Milan, Italy.
The calls for entry will be available on the website at the end of February 2025.
The 11nd edition of the International Documentary Festival Visioni dal Mondo, the annual appointment with feature documentary is founded and produced by Francesco Bizzarri. For the edition 2025 too, the artistic direction has been entrusted to Maurizio Nichetti, who has always put side by side to his activity of film author, also a strong interest for the cinema of reality.
Visioni Incontra, the Industry section of Visioni dal Mondo, takes place in Milan on Thursday 11 and Friday 12 September 2025, a platform wheree filmmakers may submit documentary film projects in the development and financing stage. The pitching takes place in front of a panel of international editors, distributors and audiences. Visioni dal Mondo recognized the importance of immersive formats for documentary film years ago and is one of the few festivals that strives to network between XR creatives and documentary filmmakers with the Visioni VR section.

MEDIMED focuses mainly on Euro-Mediterranean creative projects, with documentary producers and directors developing their own creative projects. The participation of both (director and producer) at the Workshop and Pitching Forum is highly recommended. All professionals involved in the documentary industry are very welcome to register, whether as an independent producer with a project, a commissioning editor, financier, distributor, sales agent, digital platform, or fund. It is also possible for producers to register for attendance as an observer. The knowledge of English is a condition.
