The Austrian production WALDHEIMS WALZER | THE WALDHEIM WALTZ is the winner of the Glashütte Original – Documentary Award at the 68th Berlinale. Director and producer Ruth Beckermann accepted the 50,000 Euro award Saturday evening during the official award ceremony in the Berlinale Palast. In the presence of a live audience of 1,600 guests in the theatre and hundreds of thousands watching a live television broadcast, the jury members Cíntia Gil, Ulrike Ottinger and Eric Schlosser presented the award to the very happy filmmaker "for her exceptional cinematic portrait of a political liar".
