    Synopsis

Amadeu Antonio came to the GDR from Angola as a "contract worker" in 1987. One year after the opening of the Wall, on the night of November 24-25, 1990, Amadeu Antonio and some of his work colleagues were attacked by a group of neo-Nazis and skinheads in front of the discotheque "Hüttengasthof" in Eberswalde, a small town northwest of Berlin. While his friends were able to save themselves, some of them seriously injured, Amadeu Antonio did not escape the thugs. He remained unconscious and unaided on the street and was later hospitalized. There he died on December 6, 1990, as a result of his head injuries, without having regained consciousness.
