Reports from the Void
In an experimental arrangement, the photo film accompanies two young Italian war photographers on an inner journey through their archives of wars and catastrophes. While shooting themselves they go in search of images that bear witness and ask for the human impulse of making and absorbing pictures of dead and disaster. The film - photographed during the Italian Corona lockdown - circles around what the philosopher Giorgio Agamben calls the 'void' that every testimony contains at its core. 2023
