Synopsis
This emotional and inspiring documentary traces the journey of Islam Alijaj, an unusual and inspiring activist, to the Swiss National Council. Together with his community of loyal supporters, he makes history during his political campaign and career.
The feature-length documentary tells the story of a young politician and his campaign for the Swiss National Council. Islam Alijaj is physically disabled and has a severe speech impediment. Despite his hopeless position on his party's electoral list, he managed to win election to the Zurich City Council over a year ago, as if by a small miracle.
The same story is now repeating itself for him. This time, however, the goal is much bigger. He is running for the Swiss National Council. Again from a position with little chance of success. And again, he and the many people who support his campaign are achieving the seemingly impossible.
