    Synopsis

The organizers of the ‘Mud Flats Olympics’ regard the mud flats at the german North Sea as a creative playground. At the first sight it is all about the sensual desire for mud, athletic competitions when the tide is out and the unconventional thoughts of “mud flats psychology”. With the artist Jens Rusch as the main character, it additionally confronts a never-give-up attitude and the matters of cancer and donations for counselling centres. With an approach to life influenced by ebb and flow, the organizers and the athletes create a spectacle that seems to be out of this world despite its serious background.
