Synopsis
In early 1972 Willi Pohl, member of a group of German neofacists, joined Arafats „Black September" terror organisation and participated in the preparation of the attack during the Olympic Games in Munich that September. He moved to Beirut as mercenary and received the military rank of a Colonel in the Fatah. In 1975 he felt betrayed from his Palastinian comrades and offered his services to the CIA. Pohl was hired and sent back to Beirut as an American spy, now betraying his closest friends in Fatah himself. During the civil war Pohl was captured and tortured by the Christian Falange over a period of 50 days. After a mock execution he was finally released and left Lebonon. In the 1980s he started a career as writer in Germany, now using the adopted name „Willi Voss". For this documentary Voss aka Pohl returned to Lebanon, met his former CIA-officer in the U.S. and told in detail his incredible story of three lifes in one: as terrorist, spy and writer.
