Synopsis
The Jewish children survived the holocaust in hiding, in fear and loneliness without their parents. But they also felt love in the families who sheltered the children at risk of their own life. As if by miracle Eva found her rescuer again after 62 years. A nun hided the little child in a Polish convent from the Nazis and lovingly cared about her. But after the war Eva emigrated with her father to Canada without a chance to say goodbye. Today Sister Klara is 96 years old and awaits eagerly her little Eva.After the liberation of Holland, Lore was sad because she had to leave her lovingly surrogate mother. When she was five years old her parents hided her with a farmer family and went into hiding themselves. Rosette from France talks about her life on the run – from hiding place to hiding place. She had to flee from Paris to the mountains near Grenoble. After the war she waited for her parents – but they were murdered in Auschwitz.
