The Wonder of Hearing
Even when we sleep, a part of us is wide awake: our hearing. 24 hours on reception to identify sources of danger, to communicate and to orientate ourselves. In addition, our hearing often suffers from sensory overload and stress. According to the WHO, more than 400 million people worldwide are affected by hearing loss, and more than a billion young people are at risk. The film shows current scientific developments and illustrates how powerful – but also vulnerable – the ear is.
