Established in 2012, PETROLIO is a filmmakers' production cooperative founded by the auteurs Hannes Lang, Carmen Losmann, and Mareike Wegener. Lang's I WANT TO SEE THE MANAGER, a German-Italian co-production that premiered in competition at CPH:DOX in November 2015, is PETROLIO's production debut. 2019 the short RIAFN, a documentary musical by Hannes Lang premiered at Visions du Réel. Carmen Losmann's feature-length documentary OECONOMIA premiers at the Berlinale Forum in 2020. Currently, PETROLIO is preparing its first fictional film ECHO by Mareike Wegener.
