Niki Pilic, The Legend, deals with the sport's change of status from amateur to professional, climaxing in 1973 with the boycott of Wimbledon following the unfair suspension of Niki Pilic who was not allowed to play. 81 of the top 100 members of the newly created Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) refused to compete including defending champion Stan Smith, John Newcombe and Arthur Ashe.
