Tilo Koch (48), filmmaker, receives the order to accompany a German painter and artist (Marian Kretschmer) during his work with children in the province of Karagwe in Tanzania. With him, the Swahili-translator and asylum consultant Melanie Bumberger from Upper Bavaria joins the project. The arduous journey is overshadowed by a serious accident, as a result of which Tilo Koch requires to undergo multiple operations in a jungle hospital. Nevertheless, there is a way to continue shooting the film.
