Germany 2009, 82 minby Anja-Christin Remmert, Stefan Hayn
Socio-political overview, starting from a Christmas fair in Berlin’s low-income district of Neukoelln. The booths are maintained by “social service providers”. We show their work. And we show their unemployed, drug-addicted, mentally ill, or educationally handicaped “clients”. It’s also the questions concerning immigration that matter a lot in the film. Like in Pieter Bruegel’s paintings we wanted to develop a puzzling picture showing the German situation during the financial crises in fall 2008
CHRISTMAS? CHRISTMAS!
