The Bavarian Alpenland: with its mountains and lakes, it is considered one of the most beautiful landscapes in Germany. Nature here has been shaped by people for centuries. Cultural landscapes were created that shape the image of the Alpine country to this day. Modern management has pushed back flora and fauna in many places. Species disappear and habitats are lost. But individual initiatives and projects are making a mark. New approaches are being sought.
