In a small village in Pakistan, in the middle of the Karakorum, one of the world’s highest mountains, women have started training as mountain guides for the first time. We accompany them on their way up.Shimshal is a small village 3100 metres high up in the Karakorum, one of the world’s highest mountain ranges, in northern Pakistan near the border with China. Known among climbers as the 'village of mountaineers', there is an average of at least one mountain guide, climber or porter in each house
