I met Werner over 40 years ago, even before I went to filmschool in Munich.After we had played a lot of soccer together and I had worked on a number of his films, I shot the first film about him in 1978. For the past few years, Werner’s brother Lucki Stipetic and I had wanted to produce a Part 2.The fortunate circumstance that the Goethe-Institut planned on bringing out an edition of Werner´s documentaries, along with a new film, sped up the process.
