Synopsis
The sun impacts climate, time, biorhythms and the growth of all organisms on this planet. In Europe the influence of the sun is most remarkable in the Arctic Circle, in northern Scandinavia. The extreme alternation of light and darkness shapes nature as well as the everyday lives of the people and animals who call this place their home.
The 2-part documentary follows the sun of Scandinavia in the northernmost countries of Europe, tells stories of day and night and goes through the year from the fixed points winter solstice on 21 December and the summer solstice on 21 June.
