    Synopsis

Director Kristina Savutsina set out to make a film about an incident in the Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk, where a capsule containing a highly radioactive element was accidentally sealed into the wall of a flat in a prefabricated housing block in the 1980s. Yet within a set built to replicate the original flat exactly, the project became a refractive documentary, turning its attention towards the filmmaking process and the filmmaker herself. Her relationship with a person who is also a crew member, along with other aspects of her personal life, is presented not as a diary but as a sequence of scenes steeped in autofictional self-fashioning, blurring the boundaries between the realities of Kramatorsk and the world behind the camera.
