CoPro – The Israeli Coproduction Market is entirely dedicated to exposing Israeli documentary projects to executives in the international documentary film industry around the world, with the aim of raising resources from international sources. During the market days, CoPro also holds industry events such as lectures and professional panels which are open to all industry professionals and the creative community.

Each year, CoPro brings together commissioners, producers, distributors, and funders from around the world. In 2026, the market will once again take place in a hybrid format—online and in Tel Aviv—welcoming senior representatives from leading broadcasters and platforms, including the BBC, ARTE, Netflix, The New York Times, and major European public broadcasting networks.

Alongside curated industry events, masterclasses, and round-table sessions, the market hosts hundreds of tailored one-on-one meetings between Israeli creators and international guests.

New for 2026: CoPro is launching a dedicated Scripted Series Pitching Forum, expanding its long-standing documentary focus and creating new opportunities for Israeli writers and producers to present their scripted projects to international industry leaders. This track will complement CoPro TV, the conference for scripted television launched last year, attended by all major Israeli broadcasters and global partners.

Copro Israel 2026, Tel Aviv, June 8–12

Dear Colleagues,Copro Israel is the most important financing event for documentary films in Israel. Due to the current political situation, it will take place virtually this year. In the past, many successful films between Germany and Israel have been financed there. For many years, German Documentaries has been represented at Copro Israel with a delegation. It is an excellent event for connecting with filmmakers in Israel and meeting international editors.

For the first time, there will also be a forum for fiction projects. The events for documentary projects are on June 8, 9, and 10, and those for fiction projects on June 11 and 12.

There will be a pitching forum, one-on-one meetings (Close Encounters), and rough cut screenings (of Israeli projects). In recent years, the event has been attended by editors from the following broadcasters and institutions, among others: Austrian Film Institute, Claims Conference, FIPADOC, TVP, NBC, Autlook, Visioni dal Mondo, Arte, France Televisions, SVT, TF1 France, NRD, Czech TV, SWR, Medimed, Deutsche Welle, BBC, RAI, Netflix.

This year, German projects can once again be submitted for the Co-Production Market. The deadline for submissions has been extended to April 23, 2026.

Close Encounters (Co-Production Market)
As part of this collaboration, CoPro offers German filmmakers a platform to present theirinternational projects. Through the “Close Encounters” program at the annual Israeli co-production market, CoPro offers German projects the opportunity to hold one-on-one meetings with potential international investors, including decision-makers from broadcasters, distribution agents, and more. The 2–3 selected projects from Germany can participate in the CoPro Market in Tel Aviv and will receive access to all CoPro industry events.
