2 May 2017: TASTE OF CEMENT by Ziad Kalthoum (DE/LB/SY/AE, BASIS BERLIN Filmproduktion GmbH) is the winner of the SESTERCE D’OR LA MOBILIÈRE for Best Feature Film at the 48th Visions du Réel Festival International de Cinéma Nyon, which ran from 21 – 29 April in Nyon, Switzerland. The prize comes with 20,000 Swiss Francs.
TASTE OF CEMENT follows a group of Syrian construction workers who are building a skyscraper in Beirut while their own homes are being shelled back in Syria.
