Jeden Abend wird der einzige Grenzübergang auf 1000 Kilometern zwischen Indien und Pakistan zum Ort eines Ereignisses: Tausende von Menschen sammeln sich, um dem rituellen Schließen der Grenze beizuwohnen, nachdem sie so nah wie möglich an das Tor herangegangen sind, um ehemalige Nachbarn zu begrüßen. WAGAH ist der Gewinner des BERLIN TODAY AWARDS 2009. Der Film entstand als einer der fünf nominierten Filme des BERLIN TODAY AWARD 2009, einem Kurzfilmwettbewerb des Berlinale Talent Campus. Der Berlin Today Award wird initiert und gefördert durch das Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH. Die Projekte werden professionell begleitet durch deutsche Produktionsunternehmen. Der BTA wird unterstützt durch die Deutsche Welle, DW-TV und organisiert durch boxfish films.
