Synopsis
Sepideh greift nach den Sternen – sie will Astronautin werden. Sie verbringt die kalten Nächte in der iranischen Provinz damit, die Geheimnisse des Universums mit ihrem Teleskop zu ergründen. Ihre Familie ist dagegen und will verhindern, dass Sepideh in Teheran Astronomie studiert. Von einem jungen Mädchen erwartet die iranische Gesellschaft etwas anderes. Aber Sepideh kämpft, ihr Wille ist stärker als alle Hindernisse.
Sepideh ist 16 Jahre alt, ein junges Mädchen, noch nicht erwachsen. In diesem Zwischenstadium steht sie vor einer doppelten Herausforderung: Sie möchte ausbrechen aus der Provinz und aus der traditionellen iranischen Gesellschaft. Sepideh will ihren Weg gehen. Ihr Kampf, ihre kompromisslose und erfrischende Art mit Widerständen umzugehen, spiegelt die fundamentalen Konflikte vieler junger Leute im Iran.
